  1. Random comment! Where are you based? You photos are beautiful! Your blog is awesome. Praise God for people like you. I am coming out of the NAR crowd and feeling relieved that there are people whose eyes are wide open.

    1. Thank you very much for the encouragement. I’m in Orlando, Florida. The pictures are simply things I take with my iPhone. I love the ocean and Palm trees because I see the beauty and creative power of God in them. He speaks so loudly and so clearly through creation. There is no language where that voice isn’t heard. Thanks again!

      Pslam 19

1 The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. 2 Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge. 3 There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard. 4 Their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world. In the heavens he has pitched a tent for the sun, 5 which is like a bridegroom coming forth from his pavilion, like a champion rejoicing to run his course. 6 It rises at one end of the heavens and makes its circuit to the other; nothing is hidden from its heat.

  2. Thank you for this post! I left the NAR group last year and agree with you wholeheartedly about following charismatic leaders. Unfortunately one of the side effects for me and my family is isolation and loneliness. We are looking to find a Godly Bible believing church without all the bells and whistles and so far haven’t found one yet. I would appreciate prayer for us as we only want to follow Jesus and not false teachers. Also one comment you said really stood out to me as you were describing western modern Christians, and that was “constant recreation”. Wow! That is one of my issues when I am looking for authentic believers and it is very rare to find servant minded followers and I am not interested in this kind at all. Thanks again, sorry for saying so much in this comment! God Bless!

    1. I love your comment my brother! You are on the right path if you are on a lonely path. The road is very narrow and few find it. I have lost several of my closest friends as I pointed them to scripture in an attempt to save their souls and the souls of their families from sweet sounding lies from the pit of hell. No dice.
Do not be quick to jump into a congregation. Take it slow. Learn the word and pray that Jesus will lead you to others who love Jesus as he is in the Bible. I will pray for you my brotha – and if you want to discuss this more feel free to contact me through the contact form on the front page of my blog and I will get you my email and cell phone number. I would be glad to share with you some of what I’ve learned on this painful but deeply rewarding journey…and I’d love to hear more of your story as well. Peace to you. I will pray for you right this second.

  3. Hey man, just wanted to stop by and say thank you for the “why did Jesus Die.” I have to admit you caught me a little off guard, it’s not often that someone comes up to you “saying Jesus loves you” (unfortunately). I got back to my office and read the brochure and it was encouraging. So, thank you.

    1. Thanks amigo…and the way he showed his love to us was not by making us rich or successful, but by paying for our sins with his blood on at cross, at no charge to us. Follow him with all of your heart. Flee from sin and eat, drink and breathe the word. Thanks for commenting. It is a great encouragement!

  4. Wow, I also live in Orlando. Come to think of it, you might’ve given me a gospel tract at a 7/11 once haha. Can you recommend any good churches in Orlando? It’s so hard to find one.

    1. I bet I did! I do 7-11’s a lot. I’m down in Jupiter now.
I think your best option is Orlando Bible Church, on East Colonial near Best Buy. It is small but sound doctrinally. Tell the pastor, Scott Letzring, that Ned sent you. 😀
Let me know how it goes if you decide to try it.
