**The mark of the beast does not appear until 3.5 years after the rapture, so the church will not have to deal with the antichrist or the mark of the beast. Unfortunately, those saved during the tribulation will. My hope is that some will see this article or learn about the issue before it’s too late. (See, Revelation chapters 13-14).

As the readers of this blog know, the Bible version issue, which I once considered ridiculous, is now dear to me, and one that I approach with a great measure of seriousness, since the Bible is God’s voice to his beloved children. We cannot afford to listen to and teach from an adulterated Bible. As I studied this issue in great depth over a period of many years,, I was shocked to see the stark, substantive differences between the new versions (ESV, NIV, NASB, etc.) and the King James Bible (KJV), a version I had dismissed entirely some 25 years earlier as antiquated and unnecessary.
The new versions and the KJV flow from two entirely different streams of Greek manuscripts, which I have written about in some detail here: The Bible Version Controversy . That article also contains links at the end, which show specific departures (deletions and additions) from the Majority Greek text (which is the Greek text used by the KJ, Luther, Tyndale and Geneva Bibles), by the ESV, NIV and NKJV. I encourage anyone who wants to understand this issue in more depth to read my article, and then review the links at the end.
It has recently come to my attention that all of the new versions state, in Revelation 13:16, that the mark of the beast will be “on” our right hand, while the KJV(and the Geneva Bible) says that it will be “in” our right hand. “On” and “in” are NOT the same thing, and based on my research into the Bible Version issue (see link above), I believe that this critical, eternity-affecting difference is intentional, and will be used to deceive thousands and perhaps millions into taking the mark of the beast. The ESV, NIV, NASB, et al. will be used to prove to those alive during that horrific season, who are concerned about the mark, that they can and should take it in their right hand…since “in” after all is not “on,” and how could the ESV possibly be wrong since so many of the men I respect love it??
Based on technology readily available today, and already in use in some places in Europe, I believe that it is highly likely that the “in” referred to in the KJV means an RFID chip. In Europe for instance, RFID chips encased in silicate glass have been inserted into the right hands of some in order to store medical and contact information, while in Sweden an inserted chip has been, in at least one case, used to open locked doors without a keycard at an office building. I certainly wouldn’t swear by this or say that this definitively will be the mark, but it is highly suspicious given the fact that these chips can store banking information and other personal details and are injected with a needle…in to one’s right hand.
My challenge to all Bible believers is to contemplate this” on”/”in” difference and review the Bible version issue again, carefully. The Bible is God’s voice to us and we need his authentic word now more than ever with all of the charasmatic false teachers rising up, and the dark opposition to the biblical Jesus that we are seeing wax stronger every day in our sick and godless society. The version issue is especially important in the context of the mark since an eternity in heaven vs. an eternity…on fire…in hell…is at stake. While we may or may not be here when the mark is unveiled, those we have influenced will be…and if the Bible we taught from and praised, is used to dupe those we love into taking the mark, it will not go well for us at the judgement seat of Christ – and as for those deceived into taking the mark: “The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the lamb…and the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever; and they shall have no rest day and night….” Revelation 14:6-11. I want no part of leading anyone into that horrific fate.
Paul tells us in Romans 14, that, blessed is that the man who is not condemned by what he approves. Romans 14:22b. May we not condemn ourselves by teaching and even using a Bible that, among many other things, is working to seduce people into taking the mark of the beast, lest you, by ignorance, pride, the fear of man or hard-heartedness, lead others off the cliff and into the fiery pit where the worm never dies and the fire is never, ever quenched.** We are all watchmen…..

** I was ignorant of the Bible versions issue for 25 years, and was a huge NIV 84 and NKJV fan. However, when my wife, after reading through 6 different versions, noticed huge, substantive differences between the KJV and others…I didn’t want to hear it. I debated her hard-heartedly for about 8 months…but ultimately the great weight of the evidence was so overwhelmingly in favor of the Greek text used by the KJV Bible (the Textus Receptus/Majority Text/Byzantine Text), that I knew my beloved NIV belonged in only one place…the trash.

I also caught the’ in versus on’ discrepancy when I was doing the research for my book on the errors of the modern versions. It is a valid concern that should be addressed, but so few have done so.
I was very impressed with your article on the versions and the validity of the KJV. How can we claim to have a love for Jesus if we have no regard for the preservation of the Word? He IS the Word!
I noticed you said we may or may not be here to see the mark of the beast. I feel if you would give the rapture controversy the attention you have the Bible version issue you would come to see the Pre-trib error is also not correct, and is damaging to the understanding of the believer.
That falsehood will adversely affect millions of believers in a way that is almost beyond comprehension in the near future, and even now seriously corrupts the belief system of those who embrace it. We do not want to have to give an account of the failed faith of those who stumble in the hardships ahead because they were convinced they would never see those times.

I will read your article on the rapture sometime in the near future. I used to be hardcore post trib. due to my natural pessimism and disdain for the tacky pre trib loving televangelists….but Revelation 3:10, David Cloud’s teaching, another good video series explaining the going up in the rapture vs. the return of Christ on his white horse, along with a few other passages along with the fact that both Noah and Lot were spared from God’s wrath, have moved me into the pretrib camp …but I’m not permanently locked into any view and really, it shouldn’t affect how we live. I do believe all of the seals are God’s wrath and we aren’t appointed unto wrath. That being said, I do promise to check out your article.

Brother, I just had another thought that I NEVER had before, and I believe it is from God. The phony bibles are going to be used right after the rapture to promote an antichrist bible! Their contradictions and errors that we’ve been trying to show others, will be used to discredit the KJV Holy Bible and each other! They will bring them to the public’s attention and ask the same question of them as we ask of those who despise the KJV, “Which version is the truth?” They will say that none of them can be relied upon, and that they have the truth (introduction to a New World Order bible, hot off the presses!). This will be a part of “the disclosure of alien overlords” and a continuance of the “strong delusion” the Church has been under since these per-versions came out in the ’50’s! Oh my! I can envision it happening!

Yes anonymous one. Jesus calls Satan the father of lies….and why does he lie? He lies to make us think that our good deeds and good intentions will get us into heaven. In this case, ignorance of the actual Bible and trusting in an nwo satanist to explain the Bible to you- well intentioned or not, will get you thrown into hell. That ain’t my words, that is the words of Jesus Christ himself in Revelation 14. Paul even said that he was aware of satan’s schemes to destroy men.
If we truly are saved and have the Holy Spirit, we should know not to take any mark or chip anywhere. But those moving towards salvation who don’t know the word or have the spirit…will be snatched up by Satan, as in the parable of the sower.

For 43 years my husband is a born again Christian and on 26 September I will also be celebrating my 43rd year of being born again as well.
NOTHING compares to the *closest* literal Textus Receptus Greek-Aramaic Scriptures that our Father in heaven gave us as the King James Bible, written by men who were guarded under orders of King James, as anyone can Google to find the history thereof. Anyone who wants proof can find books that prove this out; there’s no mystery here. God is God and what HE says is final. His Spirit speaks, convicts, saves and encourages through a LIVING WORD, not through a watered-down Gospel, which is no Gospel. His Word explicitly says NOT to remove or add anything to what He has said.
As for the Pre-Mid-Post controversy, this has been going on as long as Satan has been down on this earth convincing mankind that “hath God said?”. An emphatic YES we are Pre-Trib…the Bible says so.
Here’s even a common sense answer: Why would Jesus Christ have His BRIDE…not the Church, but His BRIDE endure misery, torment and all the horrors that are to be unleashed on the earth, then take them up to heaven for a BRIDAL DINNER, then have them enrobed in white garments, ride upon white horses as His army to do battle and after all that, reign on the earth? Do we humans beat up our brides then take them out to dinner??
There are so many Scriptures to PROVE that the Pre-Tribulation is how God, who is PERFECT in ALL HIS WAYS, has planned this out that the other two “plans” do not fit in the overall end time scenario. Hey, if anyone wants to stay here and go through all that, that’s up to them, but it IS NOT SCRIPTURAL, NOR IS IT CORRECT.
Keep preaching the truth. My husband and I pass out tracts, give out Bibles and preach and we will never stop until we enter into our eternal home.

As for tracts, Chick tracts are good ones; simple message (non-denominational and KJV), Gospel Tract Society has good ones, Pilgrim Tract Society, and a few others.

The reason why they’re called “Dial the Truth” is because you can call up and receive a pre-recorded message about salvation.
NEVER stop testifying or giving out tracts…or Bibles. It is your First Amendment right (of course you being an attorney knew that, lol), and it was ruled constitutional back in 1943 Lovell v City of Griffen, GA. Vol. 58, pg. 12, 4-15-38. Supreme Court Justice Black in 1943 also decided that the judgment against two tract distributors in Dallas be reversed. Additionally Justice Roberts said that street meetings do NOT need a Permit (Nov., 1939), as did Justice Black in 1946, US Supreme Court Justice Douglas (7/23/48) concurred. (Kunz v NY Argued October 17, 1950 decided January 15, 1951. 8-1 decision. Chief Justice Vinson delivered the opinion, it went to the Court of Appeals and NY affirmed it, HOWEVER (300 NY 273, 90,N.E. 2d. 455) on appeal the US Supreme Court REVERSED it. (p. 295).
Another citation is : (Hague v C.I.O. 307 U.S. 496, 515-1939).

Quite welcome…all anyone has to do is Google “First Amendment Rights and the passing out of Christian literature” or “…of Gospel Tracts”. I checked all this out years ago and then searched again recently to see if any of this has been overturned, since the Bible says that “your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour” (I Peter 5:8) and this is just one avenue that he chooses to destroy the Gospel.

The only tracts I know of are Chick tracts, which I really like. What is MWTB? I would like to see other tracts. Also, I used to hand out books of John during Christmas. People seem more open then. I went with my granddaughter and gave them out. The greatest rejections were at Starbucks, but that’s where I wanted to leave some. 🙂 Do you have a link for tracts and for New Testaments to hand out? I used to hand out New Testaments also.. Thank you..

I have had major Internet problems; actually it’s with the Internet company, of whom I am cancelling on the 19th and a day or two later starting up with a new internet. I will get back to you when I have the new one set up. Always happy to “chat” with others of like minded faith and principles.
In the meantime, husband and I are still passing out tracts. We went to a mall Saturday and my husband was rejected 😦 Well, the tract was, not him, lol. As for the ones I passed out? People took them. I have one called “Beer Belongs,” published by the Gospel Tract Society that I fold up and put inside those six-twelve-24 cartons whenever I can…as deeply as I can reach down inside. Of course the tract is NOT condoning beer; it’s showing what the commercials DON’T tell beer drinkers…
I also hide tracts everywhere I can. Tuck them down inside the cushions of restaurant seats, furniture store seats, inside those paper tissue dispensers in the toilet stalls, inside the baby changing tables…anywhere. Just use your imagination.
I forgot to mention a few other tract companies: The “Little Bible Ministry,” which publishes these tiny little booklets\tracts which are great to put in small spots. http://www.littlebibleministry.com. OR 1-800-724-0724. They’re outside of Philly, PA.
I have a big list of FREE tract companies as well.
Another good company (not sure if I told you already) is: Pilgrim Tract Society, PO Box 126 Randleman, NC 27317-0126. We get their monthly newsletter, but when I’m finished reading it, we throw it out, so I don’t have their phone number, but I’m sure you can find them on the Internet. 😦
Had to buy four more “Gift and Award” Bibles to pass out, just in case we run into someone who doesn’t have a Bible (which we did about two weeks ago).
They usually cost about $5.99 or so and of course KJV ONLY…which if you are aware, there’s an entire “conspiracy” dedicated to “King James Onlyism.” Only Satan could come up with that one!

I started my Christian walk with the KJV, but switched to NIV because my church used it. I found a tract by Gail Riplinger, with lists of words, changes, additions, omissions. I was shocked and horrified! I went back to the beloved KJV and have been in a “battle” of sorts every time the KJV is mentioned, ever since. When I read what Gail wrote, I checked each one out to be SURE she was telling the truth. My first thought was, Now I know what will cause the Falling Away! To fall away, one must be somewhere from which to fall away. That’s the King James Bible! (My opinion)
As for pre-mid-post, I have settled on Pretrib. Midtrib makes sense, but there are the 7 yr verses, such as 7 yrs burying the dead after Israel’s war; 7 yr trib, 7 yr peace treaty, & The “caught up together to meet the Lord in the air…” BUT, if for some reason, I should go through part of it or all of it, my faith would remain strong. God does not lie, and I will trust Him, no matter what. .

Amen! I truly thought the kjv was irrelevant…but now I understand that is essential and the only English Bible that hasn’t been horribly and intentionally altered – either for mammon or for a desire to corrupt the word of God. It’s really an unbelievably brilliant scheme by the devil. People think I’m insane for fighting so hard for the kjv, but really, if one studies the issue in depth, there is NO other option. Now I love the kjv and recognize the alterations everywhere. On my other version article I linked charts showing changes to the niv, esv, and nkjv. People hate Riplinger too….because she was the first to point out the occutic forces behind the changes…as if Satan would never try to change the Bible! Well, we do still have an uncorrupted version, the kjv, yet people hate it and trust their pseudo intellectual pastors who don’t understand the issues – only the one side they were spoon fed at seminary. It took a lot to move me, but once I saw the cold hard evidence…I was never, ever going to move back. Thanks for the encouragement!!!

I believe this book costs around $9.95 or so, BUT you have to write to them first to get an order blank. Besides the books, they will send you tracts about the “key references” that show about 200 additions and omissions other “bibles” add or remove from the KJV and the Textus Receptus from which the KJV was translated. Of course there are a lot more than 200; this is a small sample.
Also on this order blank are other books that are extremely in depth and in defense of KJV–and excellent as well:
“Counterfeit or Genuine” by David Otis Fuller, D.D. “The King James Version Defended” by Edward F. Hills “Which Bible?” by David Otis Fuller, D.D. and lastly,
“True or False?” also by David Otis Fuller, D.D. There are a few more titles–well worth sending for.
How did we come across JJ Ray? I see in my first “God Wrote Only One Bible” book ( I also bought another one in case I ever lost this one) that I received it by donating to Dr. John E. Douglas, World Missionary Evangelism, Inc. of Dallas, so that had to be way back when we were first starting our walk in Jesus Christ, not to mention the type-font style in the book and the dating. Most likely we heard Dr. Douglas on the radio, since that was the only way we would have any connection to anyone back then (no computers in 1973; they wouldn’t come into homes until almost 20 years later).

Keep up your street ministry! I know of a young man who does this almost daily on the streets of Manhattan, which is a very tough area to do this–you REALLY have to be led by the Spirit of God to do this up there!

But I don’t mean that the different versions of the Bible are all equal in “quality”. Personnaly, in french I use different versions, one of them is the “Annotée de Neuchâtel” wich is 137 years old and mainly based on the Received Text. In english the KJV is my reference.

I am 63, saved by God in 2012 (“Born again in Christ”) and I didn’t want to join any church after my conversion. But God put (coming from Mexico!) the son of a preacher man in my house (in Geneva, Swiss)… the exact day after my conversion. He was (and still is) an Adventist of the seventh day. God organised we can be together during about 10 days. After he left I went to an Adventist church to see if they all were “Sola scriptura” like him… and I remain with them from this day on.
I must say that I have chosen this church because they have never pretended to be the only true God lovers nor having said other churches are wrong: they only are open (like you seem to be) and looking forward to the saving of a maximum of creatures of God.
In this aim/purpose they try to make know what has really happened on october 22 of 1844 (begining of the Judgement), after having studied the prophecies of Daniel.
It moves them (us!) to say to the world: “YHWH is Love (1 John 4.8), Yeshua loves you: repent and recognize Him as your unique saviour, keep his (all the 10) commandements (Revelation 14.12 and 12.17)”.
Let’s pray for all the human, created by God wishing all will be saved (but not all will be, mostly or uniquely because part of them don’t want to be saved).

My dear brother…thank you for the long and detailed message. I very much enjoyed reading about your journey with Christ. I am out of town and don’t have time to address all of the 7th day problems but there are many and they are serious. I have personally read many of Ellen White’s false prophecies and ones she changed after she realized that she was wrong. Deuteronomy 28:20-22 is very clear: if someone gives one false prophecy they are a false prophet, and according to God must die. Their semantic dance with the law/commandments is also deeply heretical and spits in the face of what Jesus Christ did once and for all with his own blood on the cross.

If they aren’t 100% TR – and I know of only 3 (kjv, Reina Valera, and Judson’s Burmese translation), then they are false bibles and the authors are intentionally trying to pull you away from a true TR bible.

Also, if there is ever a direct linguist contradiction between the Alexandrian text and the TR, it is intentional and from Satan. Trust only the one English TR Bible and throw away the rest.

“In” is correct. “On” is in the new versions and is incorrect.

The Greek word translated in Rev 13:16 as “in” is translated as “upon” in other places in the KJV. I think you are splitting hairs; the translators had to make a choice & that goes for the 1611 KJV translators as well. Research and you will find the translators of the KJV put variant renderings in the margins of the 1611 version of the KJV.

I read the same article as you did regarding the various options for the translation of the word in question (in/on/upon). My point, when coupled with my longer article on the Bible version issue, is who do you trust: two wicked men who loved the occult, didn’t believe in the atoning sacrifice of Jesus for our sin, loved Darwin, intentionally edited hundreds of verses to delete out sound doctrine (or add in catholic doctrine), actually called the Textus Receptus vile, believed in purgatory, believed in baptismal regeneration, rejected the creation account and the flood, were covertly pro catholic, etc etc etc. vs. 47 men with sterling academic backgrounds(I’ve read all of their CV’s) who prayed throughout the process…I’m believing that the Holy Spirit was with the 47 professing Christians, because he clearly wasn’t with Westcott and Hort. Studying all of their edits is critical because their are so many outrageous deletions and Siniaticus(the foundation of their critical Greek text) is clearly a deeply compromised (and possibly fake) manuscript.
This is a critical issue, because in and on aren’t the same and Satan is quite capable of using a so called bible to deceive people into taking a chip because the mark, per the new versions, is simply a tattoo. This will happen and I’m glad to warn those I can by contrasting the two groups of translators.

Hello. My German Bible (Luther) says the equivalent of “on” the hand or forehead. I don’t think this matters. Surely, reading the whole chapter, if you are a follower of Jesus Christ you wouldn’t accept ANYTHING from the beast or its prophet, be it on or in the hand, forehead, foot or back.

I agree that anyone filled with the spirit will know not to take a mark in or on but interestingly many people in the states swear that it will be a tatto therefore taking a chip inside the right hand is okay. Nicholas Rockefeller has been quoted as saying that everyone will receive a chip for banking and commerce. The fact that the KJV says IN while the dangerously edited new versions say ON is, in my estimation, very significant. We will see (well hopefully we will be gone). PS – I would be interested to see what Greek text was used translate your Bible and I’d like to know who the translators were. That would tell us a great deal.

We are in a serious end times battle against the principalities and powers, rulers of darkness. Where did satan first tempt man? And what did he tempt him with? Yea, hath God said? He was putting doubt in the mind of Eve, and showing her another way. He attacked God’s Word! What is he using to tempt man in these very last days? The Word of God! He is fighting to the death against God and His Word, and those who are bought by the blood of Jesus. He is fighting to keep the rest from entering into salvation. And he is using the false bibles to do his dirty work. God is Sovereign and can save some in spite of the other versions. But we have watched the steep decline of the church since the false bibles were brought in. There is a direct correlation in timing. Look at her now.. Joining the Catholic Church by the hundreds of thousands, because they don’t know the true Word of God, or haven’t bothered to read it!
In this battle of the bibles, I think it boils down to one question that must be asked of the opposer. Do you WANT the Truth? Or are you just trying to defend your favorite version of the Bible? There truly is only One Bible, as the author of that book said, “God only wrote ONE Bible”!
