HIGH TREASON AGAINST THE LIVING GOD: Cowardice and Joining Together With Unbelievers

Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. Matthew 10:34

20 But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.21 Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’s table and of the table of devils.22 Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than he?              1 Corinthians 10:20-22

Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men….  2 Corinthians 5:11

As our time on this planet melts away, I feel a great urgency to encourage all believers, myself first, to test each and every action we undertake in the name of Jesus Christ, against the eternal word of God, lest we be deceived by the sweet-tasting lies of this world and face a God who is disappointed with us when we stand before him. As Paul says in 2 Corinthians 5:10-11, when speaking about the judgment seat of Christ (which all believers will face), “Knowing, therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men.” It is my passion, stemming from my own past failures and brokenness, to persuade everyone I know who calls upon the name of the Lord, to test everything…prove everything, while there is yet time so that we will not experience terror on that day, and as John says, that we may have confidence and not be ashamed before him at his appearing (1 John 2:28).Preach the Word Boldly and Do Not Be Ashamed

False teaching, the patterns and traditions of this wicked world and the love of money and recognition, abound in the modern church. May everyone who reads this article, test their hearts and their actions against the Holy Scriptures, and flee from that which is not clearly supported by the word of truth. False Prophets and Teachers: Wolves Among Us

One of the areas that is most disturbing to me in terms of patent apostasy, is the move towards ecumenism. This grieves me deeply because the scriptures are so very clear on that topic, yet so many good men are involved in prayer groups and gatherings where Muslims, Buddhists, and Jewish friends are treated as brothers before God…allegedly all under the same heavenly Father. There is no brandishing of the sharp double-edged sword of the gospel of truth, which leads to repentance, and there is no discussion of the reality of the fires of hell for those who do not turn from sin to the Jesus Christ of the Bible. Therefore…in fact…there is no concern for the eternal destiny of these “friends.” The false, short-term relationships created by such events will perish in the flames, along with those men’s souls, when this world ceases by the breath of God. Hell and the Wrath of God Almighty

As the scriptures state, without equivocation, Jesus came not to bring peace but a sword…the sword of the Spirit, which is the word, and that blade is swinging, dividing parents from children, brothers from sisters and friends from friends.(Matthew 10:34-39; Ephesians 6:17). How much more does Jesus Christ want us to divide from those who do not even believe that he, as God and man, bore our sins in his body on the cross? He wants (and even demands) that the truth of God separate us out from the world – not to create meaningless disunity, but rather to create true unity among those who truly know and love the God of the Bible, all under the headship of the one who made us and loves us with an everlasting love.

Perhaps the most comprehensive and direct passage on the issue of separating from unbelievers is found in 2 Corinthians 6:14-18, quoted below:

14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

2 John 1:9-11, also states, in no uncertain terms, that if we invite one who does not hold to the doctrine of Christ, into our house, or wish them well, without confronting them with the gospel of Jesus, then we are actually partakers in their evil and godless deeds:

Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

If these passages and the one quoted at the top of the page from 1 Corinthians 10 are true, how can we possibly sit down at a table with unbelievers (and even more with those who openly worship a pagan and thus, demonic “god”) and fail to confront them with the death, burial and resurrection of our great Lord Jesus Christ for the sins of the world? We cannot, therefore, do not, lest you taste the anger of God when you stand before him.

Jesus and Paul made it clear – we, as believers and children of the living God, are not to join together with unbelievers unless we are preaching the gospel message of Jesus Christ to them. The context of the relevant passages is not limited to marriage, business or prayer meetings. Our God is a jealous God, and he demands that we pursue holiness, purity and righteousness by refusing to water down exactly who he is and what he did for our sin on the cross…ever. Jesus also made it abundantly clear that when we do follow him with all of our hearts, the world will indeed hate us just as they hated him (John 15:18-27). Let us embrace the fact that we are, as Peter said, strangers and pilgrims on this earth, living not for a city built by men, but for an eternal city – one built for us by the very hands of God. Heaven: Your Best Life…Later

If we are not experiencing pushback and rejection from the world, and even from the “believers” we know who are caught up in the most glaring heresies of today (false signs and wonders, hypergrace, the contemplative, ecumenism, prosperity/word of faith, latter rain, etc.) then perhaps we should examine our hearts to determine if we, like Paul, are truly considering everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Jesus Christ our Lord, and his death and resurrection for our sins (Philippians 3:7-15). We all must, without fear or shame, boldly proclaim the only message that can save souls from a rapidly approaching eternity in hell…the pure gospel of Jesus Christ. As Peter says so eloquently regarding the inevitable reproaches we will receive for the sake of Christ, “Happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you…” (1 Peter 4:13-14). For in a short time, we will receive an eternal reward, far more glorious and wonderful than anything our temporal minds could ever comprehend. May we all seek that everlasting kingdom with all of our hearts.

12 For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise18 For (it is) not he that commendeth himself (who) is approved, but (he) whom the Lord commendeth.

Romans 10:13-14

  1. Luke 7:34
The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and you say, ‘Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.’

    Luke 15:2
But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered, “This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.”

    1. He was God. He made them and loved them…and he alone could save them from hell…so he preached repentance for sin, as did John the Baptist, Paul and Peter, without fear, and without caring wether they were liked. All they cared about was the gospel message of salvation…no matter the cost to themselves personally. Paul didn’t just hang out with people drinking beer and playing golf. He resolved to know NOTHING while he was with unbelievers but Jesus Christ and him crucified(1 Cor 2:2). As I noted in the writing, spending time with unbelievers is fine…but you MUST preach sin and repentance to them or else you are preaching yourself and your wisdom, rather than Christ. Eternity eternity eternity. That is all that matters, as we will soon find out.
Paul and the apostle John, spoke clearly and unambiguosly to believers in the scriptures I posted above. Ignore them at your peril my anonymous brother.

And this is what will happen to those who hang out with the disciples of Jesus but are never called to repentance…or are called but ignore it:
      Matthew 13:
25 When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:
26 Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.
27 But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.

…So, hanging out with sinners ain’t enough. We must love them by snatching them from the flames of eternal hell(Jude 1:23) via repentance, rather than just eating and drinking with them as if they are in good eternal shape – and if they don’t listen or care? Come out from among them and be ye separate saith the Lord!

  2. Sadly, many within the visible church have compromised the gospel by accepting as believers those who follow a perverse and untrue gospel that accords with their own wicked imagination. They reject the Scriptures as the Holy Word of God and substitute their own understanding about the gospel. They say many things that are in accord with the Scriptures but they make fatal flaws regarding the truth about Jesus Christ and His glorious work of salvation accomplished for us on the cross. These so-called good men have compromised in this area and it doesn’t take much of a stretch to include other unbelievers as those they can fellowship with. Most of the high profile leaders of the church are compromised and are leading the visible church into the apostasy that God warned us about in 2 Thessalonians.

3 Let no one deceive you by any means;for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, 2 Thessalonians 2:3

Thank you for exhorting us to be about gospel work, sharing the gospel with all we can. May Christ bless us to do His work His way. Amen!

  3. yeah they speak of love, and tell the lost without Christ person that their doing fine, are A ok in their walk apart from Christ…and this is love? that the person without Christ will perish is love? watching the blind near and then stumble over a cliff is love?

ezekeil 33 also speaks to warning others vs not warning, love warns others, is concerned for others. To tell the lost that their fine without Christ ..is not love, even hating them is more like it, but most do it in blindness and a love for this present world..so many are fixed upon this present world and the present life in it, fixed on things of the world and not upon Christ.

  4. The difficulty is in knowing when to separate. It’s often painful with the best motives misunderstood. And if we don’t separate, the ungodly attitudes either grieve us more and more, or we are brought down to find their attitudes if not acceptable at least inoffensive.

And how to manifest love and humility in the midst of these types of situations…

    1. Here…is your answer:
      Titus 3:10
“A man that is an heretic after the first and second admonition reject; Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.”
      ‭‭Titus‬ ‭3:10-11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you.”
      ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭11:19‬ ‭KJV‬‬

      2 Thess 3:6-7,14
      “Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us. For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;

And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.”
      ‭‭2 Thessalonians‬ ‭3:6-7, 14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

      Romans 16:17-18
“Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.”
      ‭‭Romans‬ ‭16:17-18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  6. You wrote, “There is no discussion of the reality of the fires of hell for those who do not turn from sin to the Jesus Christ of the Bible” in the context of those who follow other religions. Yes, we just want to “get along” with people in the name of “tolerance,” not wanting to be “judgmental.” In essence, we are saying we don’t care whether these people go to hell, and how sad is that?

  7. I trust the fact that I can concur with what I have read here means that I am not alone and on the right track regarding staying true to what I read in God’s Word. Over he last decade I was part of two very popular and widely known but different women’s bible study groups and discovered eventually that they were both begun by the same person whose primary intention she disclosed in her biography was to reach out to other religions! The seed and its root were possibly begun in ignorance but non the less rotten and it has pervaded so widely. Non-denominal in this case became a front to pray and sit in close quarters unknowingly with women and men of other religions and apostasies of all kinds were touted, quietly and ignorance at least on my part. Which I have repented thoroughly of my participation in any way. It quietly embraced all kinds of evil, such as eastern mysticism and many other unmentionables. What kept me there was that they looked and sounded the part, but in my spirit I began to hear and then heed the warnings about the doctrine of the scribes and pharisees and warnings about the leaven, leavening the whole lump. I stayed until I could no longer stand it perhaps because I did not have strong enough faith to trust that God would lead me to a better place and fell immediately and unwittingly into a satellite or offspring of the first bible study group and it would take me another good chunk of time to recognise enough false teaching to once again attempt and then finally leave and then it was under the leading of the Holy Spirit who spoke the words I have heard you quote, Come out from among them and touch not the unclean thing. Took me a long while to get the message but all along I was becoming conscious and developing discernment towards the true state of the whole church. I now perceive that this rottenness has penetrated everywhere and have no confidence attending any mainstream congregations of believers because the infiltration is so bad. Where are the true believers today and how to locate them is my main concern for fellowship? It feels as if have been leaving one orbit only to be captured into another orbit ad infinitum. I mean that my faith in God was began in a JW home and I left that group because of the false prophecies of 1975 regarding Armageddon which demolished my understanding and faith in that version of so called truth and it is a blessing to realise only now more fully that I had been set mercifully free from lies, but unfortunately then entered into the “world” for a season. I wonder is this how God grows our faith? through many trials and temptations? I finally reached out to what I could not see and became aware Jesus Christ or God, a long 1.5 decades later when the world and Satan had quite ripped me to shreds and literally left me for dead. He, the Lord Jesus Christ heard my earnest cry of a broken-heart and mercifully delivered me from the mirey clay and put my feet on himself as the bed rock of Jesus Christ. he planted me into the safest place, which has been healing balm to my soul ever since…3 decades and counting. But because I had looked into the occult and been frightened into the sinner loving arms of Christ Jesus, have needed and received deliverance from the demonic hosts who took up residence because I had not heard nor heeded God’s warning about sin and it’s crouching at the door and wanting to have you, a truly horrific prospect of endless torment. Sinning literally invites the enemy into your life as a guest, in the same way I opened my heart to Jesus, but I may not enjoy sin and His presence together. That is how we grieve the Holy Spirit. You simply cannot eat from the Lord’s table and the table of his enemy at the same time. like Joshua today we must choose whom we will serve but as for me and my house..we will serve the Lord. I am grateful to read your posts and have been blessed from the words of truth and encouragement. Keep doing God’s will and God bless you and your family and all who seek God’s truth.
